Note that this is a novel

I downloaded this for Kindle because I thought it was non-fiction. The title does not indicate that it is a novel, and neither does anything else. It seems OK for a novel, but I am not into fiction and so I will remove this review if and when someone wants to review it as a novel.

Very difficult to understand. Their writings were much differnt than how a book would be written today.It's ok if you have the time to read it over and over to understand it.

Not A History or Lifestyle of True Puritans

Some of Amazon Kindle free or low-priced non-fI ruin can be difficult to gauge what the book is really about because there is no true forward or book description. I assumed this was going to be a nonfiction book delving into the true Puritan lifestyle and traditions. However, as I read for soe time, it appears to be about young Puritan future elders or priests of the church, who, when their church (or monastery burns down), 2 of these students embark on an "adventure with a cousin and an aunt, who decide their way of life is antiquated and boring as a lifestyle. Apparently both relatives begin taking their unworldly relatives with them in what appears tio be a way of corrupting them through visits at society friends' homes, whose engertainment includes Mystics, seances and the like - with 2 young women constantly go out of their way to entice the boy's unknown lust, of which they had not had any knowledge or experience of these unknown girl's wiles.
Because the book was not the research and study into the true Puritan lifestyle, I deleted the book as I saw the book progressing to corrupt the beliefs these boys had prepared for. The efforts of these frivolous ladies and their planned disruption of the boys' lives becomes a huge joke to all invoked, and unfortunatey, the boys begin to be corrupted ad drawn into things they did not enjoy, which compromised their very belief system. I closed the bok at that time, as obviously this was not what I thought it to be. I will be more careful when the kindle review of book only says, "This book has been converted..."
Of course, this is only my opinion, so if you enjoy love stories and awkward situations, you may find the book fascinating.
